Our first recording is finished! Now everything is moving into production mode to make sure we meet the release date of 20th October. Concerts will be announced shortly, but look likely to be November 2nd (Cheltenham), 3rd (Swansea), 4th (Aldeburgh), and 7th (London).
Brewer & Boydell’s book, Imogen Holst: A Life In Music, has now been released - my copy just arrived in the post! You can buy it here.
Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour programme is going to be featuring an interview about Imogen Holst tomorrow with Rosamund Strode and Chris Grogan (editor of the book) of the Britten Pears Library, so Tommy has rushed through some small clips from the Quartet, Quintet and Viola/Piano duo, and sent them over to Radio 4 - hopefully they’ll play one of them at least, so if you want the very first sneak preview of the recording, then tune in to R4 at 10am (or find the programme online here).
