Simon Hewitt Jones - The Violin Blog

I saw this on someone’s Facebook profile and realized that it is also The Indulgence Of The Adequate.

I remember well in the past, getting bogged down thinking about how I could go about interpreting a piece, to the point that I never actually did it.

It’s a similar mistake to the idea that if your company gets a blog and starts writing stuff on it each day, all of your management and marketing problems will be solved. Er, no!

“Technology Is The Medium, Not The Message”

If technology affects the context of content, the content might have to change as much as is necessary to survive and thrive in the new context. But the underlying nature of the content doesn’t change. Bluetoothing a symphony recording to your mobile may affect the sound quality, but it won’t affect the structural form of the music :)

I am gradually trying to grow into blogging full time and make the blog the central point for all my work. But I would never dream of describing myself as a blogger.
