Classical chamber music is an extraordinary art form, and the string quartet is perhaps one of the most extraordinary parts of all. Such an incredible repertoire of music - yet again, so complex. A few individuals working together each on a single line of music, and the possibilities become infinite. Pitch, rhythm and sound are defined very strictly by the composer, yet within those restrictions, any number of possible combinations exist. An infinite level of detail can be explored, yet each player's work has to exist in proportion to everyone else's. Only then can the music truly take flight.
