A short piece for a Scandinavian music magazine:
I've always believed that cultural exchange is essential. The more deeply we understand our shared humanity, the stronger the bonds we build - across borders, languages and communities.
In today's world, where once-stable identities and geopolitical certainties are shifting so rapidly, it's easy to feel lost or afraid. Such moments of change can leave individuals, and even whole societies, searching for meaning, security and connection.
That's why the arts have such a strong role to play. They help us to feel, to listen, and to see the world through the perspective of others. Culture reminds us of who we are, but just as importantly, it shows us who we might become... together.
And that's why I believe the exchange of musical ideas across different countries and cultures matters so much.
